We used old tin siding to kill the grass prior to planting plant our tomato plants. Now that the tomatoes have been planted, we moved the tin to create another patch within which we will strive to plant beets or beans or radishes or spinach in August...
The Rhubarb plants are actually "round 2". I tried planting root stock in mid-April; but, that proved to be a bit too early as we had a significant frost kill them a week later...
