I'm trying to keep myself organized as I try saving tomato seeds. We planted a variety of tomatoes this year and they are all either heirloom or open pollinated varieties.
In February, Ed and I attended a Spring Garden show in Madison, Wisconsin. As part of that day's activities, we went to a class on saving tomato seeds.
I had to use Ed as a sounding board to re-fresh my memory, but the gist of it is I need to let the seeds "rot" in a glass jar or bowl for a week or so and them wash them off, let them air dry, and them file them away in a labeled paper envelope. I'll then likely put all of the envelopes in a zip lock bag just to keep them protected from moisture.
