I had purchased my hanging tiered "solar" food dehydrator that has internal shelves and zippers to access each "shelf" from Amazon several years back and recently pulled it out. I'm currently using it to dry peppermint and chamomile for tea and to dry our shitake mushrooms from the middle woods, and some other herbs for long term storage.
It takes a little longer than our Excalibur electric food dehydrator but it's working out real well. I like it because it seems to be a little gentler on the greens and because it's not heating up my house in the summer. It won't work for wet and heavy things like tomatoes; but for greens and mushrooms it's doing great.
