Main Bathroom Update - Before Pictures

We've had our "homestead property" since March, 2019 (nearly 5 years as of this writing) and our main bathroom is still in it's original condition (a little worse actually as we've done some painting and fixture removal without finishing either job).

Until recently, this was our only functioning bathroom. We had to update our basement toilet, sink, and shower stall to bring them to working condition prior to even thinking about updating our main bathroom; we did this last winter.

The main bathroom update has been a project that keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list; it's quite intimidating because everything needs to be replaced... Ed especially had/has concerns about how he would install the tub and surround; he wasn't even sure he could get the tub in the door(s).

One day, a couple of months ago, I (Maggie) stopped by a local plumbing contractor's location. After talking with one of the representatives, I learned that it actually would be very cost effective to just have them come in and do the major projects of the install. Additionally, it would only take them 1-2 days at most to do so...

In our circumstance, this will mean taking out the old tub and surround, taking out the old vanity, taking out the old toilet, and removing the old flooring. They will then replace the tub and surround with the most basic of options (in "white") along with new tub/shower plumbing fixtures, installing (re-installing) grab bars, installing a new water efficient toilet, installing the vanity and faucet that we purchased way back in 2019, installing a new medicine cabinet (again purchased in 2019), installing a new overhead light/fan combo (again, purchased in 2019). This will leave the flooring install, the vanity light/wall sconce install (we already have the light), and the final painting of the walls to us (Ed really).

I was told that everything has been ordered and should be arriving within the next couple of days. From there, we just need to lock in our install dates. Because the time has nearly come, I've taken everything out of the bathroom that needs to be removed so that the contractor can do what they need to do. The bathroom will be most basic in finishes, but we look forward to a lighter, brighter, and newer version of things to take us through our time here.

Following are some of the "before" pictures.
