Homemade Jig Used to Install Upper Cabinet Handles / Pulls

Now that the cabinets and countertops are in, we need to be able to open the doors and drawers. We purchased the cabinet handles / pulls from Menards; a 10-pack cost $6.99. They are the color we wanted - brushed nickle to match the light fixtures and stainless sink - and are comfortable to use. Nothing fancy - just simple and cost-effective - they get the job done (...and...most importantly...Maggie & I were able to agree on them...).

The hard part is installing them. For such a small kitchen, there are a lot of doors and drawers. Tonight I just installed the door pulls - 15 in all. I had a store-bought jig from a previous project, but none of the jig's holes matched where we wanted the pulls to go. I ended up making my own jig out of some scrap wood. My store-bought jig will work for some of the drawers, but not all, as there are two different size drawer fronts in our base cabinets. I'll have to check my scrap pile for more jig parts. I think I counted 20 drawers...
