In order to have our washer / dryer on the main level where it was previously, Ed needed to do a little updating of the valves for the washing machine. He also needed to prepare for venting the dryer and update that as well.
Due to limited space, we will be stacking the front-load washer (I want to conserve as much water as possible) / dryer. We also switched from a gas dryer to an electric dryer. While I plan to hang laundry outside to dry as much as possible, we did want a back-up (in case of rainy day, etc.).
We will be tiling the back hall in black slate (16" x 6" tiles) => this weekend Ed spent his work time "getting ready" for that upcoming project. Part of that preparation meant getting the old gas line capped off below the floor and that part was handled by a licensed plumber.
