Snow shoes were on sale at Fleet Farm, so we bought two pair. I took a walk to the back woods using the snow shoes for the first time. They seemed to work well, but I don't know if they made things any easier...maybe if the snow were deeper. I definitely get better traction than just boots. Maxie sunk in the snow up to her chest, but she did not seem to mind.
I had forgotten that I have a MapMyHike app on my phone, so I used it to measure a snow shoe hike to the gate at the back woods - 0.51 miles from the garage to the gate and back.
