Apples Ready for Picking


Apples on a Shelf

I've gotten about 3 five gallon buckets of apples from our pasture. The apples taste somewhat like a Courtland apple even though they are much smaller.


My plans for the apples are to make apple sauce, apple vinegar, and to ferment some apples as well. I've never made vinegar or fermented fruit before, but I've watched some YouTube videos such that I think I can do it.


Because our neighboring farmer will be putting his cows in our pasture again soon (and apparently cows like apples), I will try to get one more five gallon buckets worth tomorrow afternoon.
