On day 2 of our stay at the property with Henry, it rained. It was not the best of conditions to shoot outside on the property. The county's public range has a roof. We figured the weather would keep people with nicer guns than us from shooting in the damp, so we made another trip. Success! - It was deserted. There were still targets set up, so we opted to shoot at those. My favorite was also the simplest - a white paper plate. Cheap, and it provides a high contrast to see where your shots land.
As we shot, two men and a boy arrived. We took a break to allow them to set up some additional targets, and then we all shot until sunset. The other group had an impressive collection of firearms with them - two pistols and three or four rifles. I continue to be amazed at the number of guns people can acquire over the years.
