Our driveway weeds are exhausting me! I want to keep how we address them as natural as possible (especially given that we get our water from a well which is near the driveway).
I thought I had the situation taken care of with the weed torch that we got and started using a while back… but, the torched weeds grew back over time. I torched again and they grew back again; “lather, rinse, repeat” per se.
I just bought and tried a one-gallon lawn and garden sprayer that I filled with white vinegar that was 5% acid. (My pre-torch attempts using vinegar involved 4% acid vinegar and me just pouring it on the weeds. I went through way too much vinegar this way for it to be a cost-effective solution long term. I also have come to learn that 5% acid or higher is recommended as being more effective.)
Last weekend, it took me a gallon of vinegar to cover all of the weeds in the driveway in relative short order. It looked like it was starting to work and I was happy. Then it rained… It’s supposed to rain this weekend as well.
It looks like I’ll have to wait until spring to start and try this process all over again.
